What Happened?

I’m not quite sure what happened to my goal. I sent “Wake-Up Call” to East of the Web.com, on the 6th and thought I was doing pretty well. Then I got going with editing a couple other stories, and became busy trying to get a critique of someone’s work from my on-line group, and there went all those extra minutes I thought I’d have. Egad. I’ve ordered a book to help me organize my time. I shall give you the title if I feel it worthy for others to read. Perhaps I will do a book review on it. You know, in all my spare moments. I will say that I read a short story in Glimmer Train last night, and it hit into my consciousness. The setting: New Orleans during a huge hurricane. What it did to me: gave me nightmares. If you are looking for great short stories, look no further than Glimmer Train or another favorite of mine, Tin House. I hope to have writing worthy of those literary journals someday. Okay…next goal…get some sleep! That, I can accomplish. Maybe

My Goal

My goal: to send at least one short story out to a magazine every day until I exhaust my supply. I sent two out today. “Polar Opposition” and “The Locket.”
